Angki Purbandono (b. 1971, Cepiring) is an artist based in Yogyakarta. Graduated from the Modern School of Design (MSD) Yogyakarta and the Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta, Angki has initiated and participated in a series of solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, and residency programs at both local and international levels for more than two decades. Throughout his artistic journey, Angki has developed his interest in photography, starting from the use of cameras, scanography, to more recent experiments with the concept of photography on stickers through montage. Angki is one of the founders of the media art collective Ruang MES 56 and the prison art program in Yogyakarta called PAPs (Prison Art Programs).
