He graduated from Graphic Arts Studio at the Faculty of Art and Design ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology). Fear, nature and ancient Indonesian culture are his drive to make art with anthropomorphic perspectives. His art inspiration led him to deep dive into research on animal rights and critics on anthropocentrism.

Agugn held his first solo exhibition Natural Mystic in Bentara Budaya Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Solo, and Bali as his first prize winner for Triennale Seni Grafis Indonesia 4 in 2012. His next solo exhibition after that was in 2015 titled Unguarded Guards at Jogja Contemporary, in 2016 titled AGUGN:Printing Live in the Cosmos at Vinyl on Vinyl, Manila, and in 2017 at Mizuma Gallery, Singapore titled Molasses. His latest solo exhibition was held in 2020 at Machida City Museum of Graphic Art, Tokyo where in 2019 he was invited to do an artist residency in Machida City, Tokyo.
