Fandi is originally from Lampung but lives and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, after graduated from Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta - Fine Arts major in 2020. Fandi started drawing as a hobby and after being submitted in many competitions, trying several types of drawing like caricature and calligraphy, his works now focus on painting. His painting also has been exhibited in several cities: Lampung, Bandung, Cirebon, Yogyakarta, Solo, Semarang, and Malang The surrealist paintings of Fandi are deeply inspired by his childhood memories in village, who likes to play outside and enjoy the nature. Nowadays, these kind of activities like exploring the environtment, walking on the grass under the shady trees, recognize various plants and animals are kind of hard to do. As time goes by, increasing of industrial development, lack of green space,modern life and destruction of nature made that memories fade.
