Kohesi Initiatives presents Human Supremacy, Agugn’s first solo exhibition with the gallery.
This solo exhibition showcases 18 linocuts works and an interactive video-mapping installation with the main theme of human superiority and the exploitation of animal lives which we have turned a blind eye to. The notion also becomes a significant influence on the context of the works the artist has made from 2020 until now.
In this solo exhibition, Agugn emphasizes a critical perspective of humanity's roles toward animals, both literally and metaphorically, explicitly and poetically. According to the vegan artist, humans have exploited animals on a major scale everywhere, resulting in inequity in the form of supremacy as animals are considered a lesser existence compared to humans.
Kohesi Initiatives hopes that the solo exhibition channels a different point of view, awareness, and understanding of the things that Agugn wishes to share with the audience. Human Supremacy also becomes a benchmark in the artist’s career and a foundation for the gallery’s future programs.
