STEM Projects presents STEM Show 4, a group exhibition presenting 8 Indonesian-based young artists: Anjastama HP, Azizi Al Majid, Bebe Wahyu, Dabi Arnasa, Dapott, Dennys Fadhil, Dwiky KA, Mahaputra Vito.
STEM Show is a series of exhibitions initiated by STEM Projects with the main purpose of discovering and nurturing emerging and under-represented artists. With an artist-focused approach at our core, STEM Show was intended to encourage them to explore their practices and create new works. Through this program, we hope to stimulate the artists’ development and provide a place where their works can get appreciation from the public.
In this group exhibition, the artists expressed various things, including; Anjastama HP talks about human self-image through wayang figures, which sometimes look good and sometimes look bad; Azizi Al Majid, encourages the viewer to consider the complex and multifaceted relationship between contemporary art and its audience; Dapott brings faded childhood memories; Dennys Fadhil reminds that everything that looks bright and colorful acts as the way it looks; while Mahaputra Vito composes the things that come to his mind through his works so that they do not disappear right away.
