STEM Projects presents Find a Job, Find a Friend, Find a Home, Find a Dog, Settle Down, Out of Town, Find a Dream, Shut It Down, a solo exhibition by Hudan Seltan where he delves into the nuanced interplay between isolation and connection in the digital age. This solo exhibition, through 15 new acrylic on canvas works, captures intimate moments of contemporary youth, reflecting on the paradox of identity in the search for oneself.
Hudan's style uses soft, pastel colors, creating dreamlike atmospheres with an illusion of transparency. His paintings, often reminiscent of impressionism, portray figures and scenes that blur the lines between reality and dreams. Characters break the fourth wall, inviting viewers into the canvas and transforming them into active participants in the depicted moments. The juxtaposition of public and private spaces in Hudan's work creates a tension that challenges conventional boundaries.
The exhibition also explores Hudan’s relationship with social media, acknowledging the blurred lines between public and private in the digital age. By depicting daily situations experienced by the younger generation, Hudan invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences and the shared awkwardness of younger generations.
